 Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND | Are you sure Mr Snerdly ? I don't recall an inline 6 that did not have a vibration damper . That long flexy crankshaft needs a good damper to keep harmonic flexing from reaching the point of breaking the crank.
If the combine was mine, I would worry about cracks in the crank from hammering around hard enough to shear off those 6 bolts. I know an old Detroit 6-71 will break a crank in a couple hundred miles when the damper lock wedges come loose. |
