Loran, 1600 uses a different shank then 1610 or 610. I'm guessing the 1710a uses the 1610-610 shank. the 1600 is about a 26" shank and is 1" or possibly 1 1/8" thick. The 1610 is about 32" an I think 1 1/4" thick. Just something you guys ought to be thinking about to make sure you are on the same page.
