So long as it was put up right, not too wet, it should be fine. Most cattle outfits around here only buy cheaper, rained on alfalfa. Anything else gets sold elsewhere as it is way too nice to feed to a beef cow. Even with rained on alfalfa, I've never fed it straight. Always mixed with weedy grass, or grain hay for cows. Straight alfalfa is too good of feed except in the dead cold of winter when they are calving.
