| But I am assuming the engine has some sort of belt drive for the combine, like our JD 6600?
So I planned on finding a shaft from a 1000 pto implement from a junk yard, get a keyway cut into it, pulley and sleeve, mount on a little trailer along with a 45 gallon drum for fuel, or perhaps 2. I hate refilling the stationary stuff. Another advantage is the odd terrain we have (uncle built barn next to silo, blower tractor is at like a 30% upward slope, blower is horizontal) will be easier to get drive shafts lined up and not rattling. | |
