I can't comment on the real corn growing areas because I'm not there, but I have no problem stating that our yields will not be outstanding here.  Corn was all planted in mud, much was late, and it remained too wet too long in the spring.  You don't have to fly around long to figure out that there is 10-15% bare soil in the corn fields due to terraces and low spots which were too wet.  I am expecting crop insurance activity on lots of acres.  Yields will be average or only  slightly below but the price alone is enough to kick in revenue coverage at the  APH.
