Southeast Colorado | Same here. Also, slow down the sprinkler when it gets hot and dry. We try and make an 7.5 day pass but that sort of varies depending on how many gpm is in the pivot. I like to run the half day deal so that when the water is on that area it alternates between night and day passes. Us folks in the desert have to learn a lot of water efficiency tricks just to grow a crop. Nozzles above the corn would for sure burn up a crop here. Very little if any water would ever make it to the ground. I don't know what to tell you if your nozzles are spaced further than 5 foot apart short of possibly just slowing the sprinkler way down. | |
