WC KS
Hays City , KS is 90 miles west of Salina KS. so sort of mid central KS. IT sort of the east edge of the Drought. IT was probably an area where the cutter had his first good job this wheat harvest. Wheat west becomes real variable. Definitely SW KS wheat is a real iffy.

KS has record acres of Corn planted. There are some irrigators in SW KS that have reached their water limits. I have heard rumours of cutting back to half circles.

Where I am, dryland corn that escape hail has caught some timely rains---- they have to be, there is no subsoil moisture.

KS is not a corn market changer-- no more than a rounding error for reports.
