Everything that I saw looked better then I was expecting so I was thinking that we drove thru the best area of the corn belt. I looked over in the crop talk section and saw a post about the crops in IL and IN and now I am thinking that there might be a lot of good crops this year.

It is still hard to get a read on the acres. When I was reporting my acres at the FSA office the girl there told me that there seemed to be a lot of corn this year, later that day I gave my acres report to a crop ins. agent and he told me that it looked like I was lucky to get that much corn in  as most farmers where down on corn acres because of the late spring. There are too many different opinions right now to know what is right.
