| We sold our WISP recently and I still have to do an FCC 477 for last year - record of number of customers per census area and what bandwidth they get. For the most part, even in very rural IL you have several choices of high speed internet (fixed wireless, 4G cellphone company and as a last resort sat service). It's not all free, but it's getting more affordable all the time. Why the gov't is pushing this without considering local infrastructure leads me to believe companies like LS (and several others that are now gone) are just a type of gov't scam/inside deal.
