Cedar Rapids, Iowa | I'm not sure what the plan is on the phone side. The government mandate was to get high speed Internet access to millions of people ASAP. Mobile devices (phones and tablets) are common devices to connect to that service, so voice service is a logical product to do at the same time. I don't know if they're planning to run voice traffic over the L-Band spectrum, or if they were going to use one of the existing cellular systems in the US for that. | |
