On bins w/no power sweeps, we often leave the sweep in the bin, but remove the motor, thereby having one motor for multiple bins, some 1ph, some 3ph. Motors go on quickly & tighten their belts with 2 jam nuts. Now, there are also some bins that are old enough that have very small sump openings. Putting a sweep over that sump would really slow up withdrawl rates while the corn (?) is still free-flowing.
