I'm with joelt. I couldnt imagine how high it would have to be to create the required pressure to make the nozzle pattern even. Don't know what kind of flow rate you are looking for. "Here" we run about 19 psi at the end of the tower and it would take a lot of gravity to make that much pressure. Surface pumps don't take any hp to run. Its lifting the water out of the ground and pushing it uphill that takes the hp. Hope this helps
