| Regardless of what any report states we will not use more bushels than we have. No one is forced to stay in business at a loss and will not do it for very long. Companies like smithfield have reported a profit, but still have to cover the earlier losses (they don't go away no matter who you are), so it's not like we have a healthy demand base either. Naturally, business is competitive and no one goes to the press and says we're doing this, this and that so we don't care what corn price does. I guess I'm saying we won't see a report on how business has already reacted to what appears to be a shortage - we'll just find out when it happens.
I'm not particularily bearish at all, but some of the bullish sentiment seems act like 'they just have to buy at whatever price we have' and that usually isn't the case.
