"Local retailers"??? Your Co-op and equipment dealerships are locally owned (and don't cater to BTOs)? Enjoy that while it lasts.

My local retailers make their livings by pushing certain brands. Most posters here, who are end-users, make their livings based upon which brands perform best in given conditions.

That wasn't an "attack", it was a statement of fact. You sound like a person who's had a bad experience (or perhaps more than one) with people on NAT. That's too bad. It's also ironic in that in your last post you tend to downplay the inputs of people on the boards, yet apparently things that people have said really got under your skin.

Regarding trusting people on the internet I've never met: it boils down to credibility. Some of the biggest liars and blowhards are locals I've known all my life, while I'd consider some on this site to be great sources of information on a variety of topics.

It's true, you didn't ask for a reply. You did, however, post a reply on the board and shouldn't be surprised to receive replies. It's a two-way street.

Again, I am sorry that you've obviously had unpleasant experiences here.
