![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=22820&type=profile&rnd=499) East Central South Dakota | David, you are baiting me into this one, so here it goes. Two weeks ago the COE released their endangered species study. The study said they needed 3 man made floods in july and august to create sand bars for the Tern and Plover and this would also scourge the channel out for the Sturgeon. They are still taking public comments on the released study. I am quessing they needed enough water stored to do 3 80,000 cfs releases in July and August. Then the rain came and came and came and they got caught with their pants down. They say winter releases cause ice jams and in the spring the mississippi was flooding and in the fall they didn't know what the snow pack was going to be. To me to many well thought out excuses. Doesn't smell right. I hate to be the type of guy that thinks there was another shooter on the grassy knoll, but this thing doesn't add up. |
