 High Springs, Florida | I probably should not be answering this, because it's been 20 years or so, since I have combined anything. But, here goes. We always cut just below the head of the crop we were harvesting, reason being, less wear on the machine internals from running all that straw through, and better separation. And what you posted as your problem.
If we were going to bale the straw, we would just run a haybine over it. Keep in mind, most of our fields less than 100 acres. | |
