North Central Ohio, across the Corn belt !

Gerald J. - 6/21/2011 18:18 21 0 0 24 or the other way around. So 200 pounds gives 42 and 48 pounds of element. Gerald J.

Yes Gerald

and if one figures the value of the Sulfate

the N is almost FREE

but do not tell anyone that.

200 Lbs of AMS is a good start if you are producing, selling off the farm 140 to 180 Bu. corn

If you average a sold Bu, average of 180 to 240 then 300 Lbs of AMS per acre rate works for many.

there are some that irrigate and grow 300 Plus Bu. and 600 Lbs of AMS per acre rate is common.

check out the Nutrient Numbers on 2 ton of a good Litter program

and there are those spreading 4 to 8 ton annually on VERY HIGH yield citations.

Remember, as a Poster mentioned above. Every Stave in the barrel of Nutrients is Critical.

Over the years I have made sure that the Micro Nutrients are applied in adequate levels so all are adequate on all crops each and every season.

MOST would be shocked at what that requires. But the Rewards are Great.

many, and Most seasons I recommend More LBS of Micros than P.
