My observation is Like Yours.

for those that have a history of certain and specific soil, fertilizer management practices. You WILL have to deal with all the insect and disease issues You mention. and will be forced to Use Fungicides and Insecticides and be Married to the Use of those Products. and that is the Politically correct way to Practice Modern Day Agriculture.  That is good for You I am sure.

the original Question ask about Micro Nutrients and How to avoid Deficits,  on General crops. and High Yield environments. I shared MY observations over the Years. 

and I shared application Rates and Yield data.

and I shared How We achieve some of that High Yield Production.
