develop a soil Health program and purchase seed with good disease  resistant packages. It is a Long term soil management plan. Not a McDonald's fast food type program.  and for some, feeding the plant from season to season is the Only Option. and there is nothing wrong with that.

Healthy soil = Healthy Plants

It can take 5 to 20 years on some soils to Build a Healthy aerobic soil environment.    (  aerobic,  Percolating soil fosters Plant Health )

Because of weather and environmental issues. there are always exceptions zipper.  and that is each and every Farmers challenge to Deal with.

But well drained soil is a Must.
