What size equipment are you using that your dad thinks you can barely handle 230 acres? If you double in size can your equipment handle it?

As far as planting, we have a JD 7000 6 row planter and also a 15' Great Plains no-till & JD 8300 drill. We do full tillage. Tillage tractor is White 2-155 and the planting/misc tractor is White 2-105, plus a couple other tractors for small things. We have a JD 7720 combine with 18' grain head and 6 row corn. Five years ago when we had a size smaller combine, we were able to custom cut for a neighbor and between his and our crops, it was close to 500 acres. That neighbor retired from farming when his wife was killed in an auto accident (ironically in our front yard) and he had no help to keep going.

I feel that our equipment will handle twice the current acres with some obvious improvements and upgrades
