Amherst WI | Looks like it is time to peel off on your own to me. Dad not wanting to expand to let the next generation in has screwed more people than just you over. My grandfather did the same thing to my dad and he left the farm in his mid twenties never to come back to farm again. Your dad has the right to do that, but you are not beholden to him as free help either if he will not see it through your eyes too.
There are times I wished I could have stepped into a working operation but there are also plenty of times I am glad that I didn't have to have the "thats the way we have done it the last 100 years" speech either. | |
