Ossian, IN
Yes, I'm wanting to grow and rent some of my own, but it seems like dad (60 yrs) is not so interested because of the time and money requirement. This spring has been something else because of wet weather but it just drug on and on. He wants to be old fashioned in my opinion and constantly stop to check the drill, and population and weather its in the ground. I did just buy another tractor (replaced the JD I bought 2 yrs ago) and am trying to get into farming. There is a local farmer with 4xx acres that is in his upper ages farming alone that is nearing retiring, but when I suggest going to talk to him, I get the response of how we can barely get our own stuff done and how the larger farmer nearby that does his harvesting will most likely get it.

I want to expand, but the family seems like we dont have the equipment or time to do such.
