roaming | changing the Forward Offset changes where the system thinks the rear axle is. If you set a Forward Offset of 200", then the system thinks the rear axle is 200" behind the GPS receiver position. The nav controller uses this information to steer the sprayer. I don't know if it would help, but it sounds like others have had at least some positive results. Keep in mind that the Forward Offset is also used for things like mapping, section control, prescriptions, etc, so changes to that number might improve guidance performance but screw up your boom shutoffs. | |
