You would need to flash the firmware for the EZ-Guide plus the terain moduale uses 3.00.1 for the plus and 4.10 for the 500 Using the EZ-Toolbox http://www.trimble.com/agriculture/ez-steer.aspx?dtID=technical_support
The cable you need is 52763 list is 125 I have some used ones laying around if you need.
