I have planted in excess of 25A of alfalfa in a day with a Farmall "C" and a 10 foot all plant drill. The caveat, there is no way I would recommend a 60 year old tractor to anyone who had to depend on it. 20 year old or newer would be more like it, and a lot of the small compacts that they sell today have adequate horsepower for the OP's needs, they don't have the weight needed to transfer that hp to the ground.
How much tractor do I need?
