Yes, I have had that happen before. I can't really explain, but it could be like "skip" waves in CB radio. There's times you can here people from across the country on the CB. Back in the day, I used to talk a little "skip" with a finely tuned Cobra 142gtl. Anyways, perhaps the FM station bounced off the stratosphere much like skip?
Radio anomaly...weather?
