Do you compete with your neighbors for the best looking field of corn or the best job of planting?
Maybe the first in the field or the first done planting or harvesting?

I am not talking about an outright competition, but do you get a little satisfaction from having a better looking corn or bean field. Or when you notice a row missing or maybe the planter not dropped just right on the ends, do you say hey, I am not the only one that is not perfect.

I really like the looks of a nice field of corn, but i always seem to screw up someplace. This year in my test plot for some reason one row held the seed in the seed tube for maybe ten feet and then dropped it in a bunch. I still don't know what caused it, it happened about 4 times then all was fine.

Maybe it is just me but it makes me feel a little better when I see other neighbors have an issue also. Just wondering if I am alone on this one.
