What is Maximum distance you can siphon water, I know the maximum lift is 34 ft, but cannot find anything that gives me the maximum distance, would like to try siphoning a slough out, would have to lift it 25 feet and the distance is about a ¼ mile, I can create all kinds of drop on the output end. Think of using a 3” hose. Is this possible?
I would think your plan will work. Might not run the storngest with a 25 foot lift.
Does that mean that you cant suck water more than 34 feet even if the drop is far below the water level?
Ive never th ought about that before. Atnosphere pressure is only so strong(vacuume) .....
