Renville Minnesota

The last five years weve been hovering close to a 190 bu average on dry corn.   If we get rain in the next ten day's, we might get close to 170, if not, crop insurance is a great thing!

Last rain was middle of june.   Humidity, and morning dew is the only thing keeping things going, where its comming from is anyones guess.

Just about done spraying for aphids, surprising how good the beans look, but they don't look good compared to years past.  Very few spots where the beans have closed the row on 30" spacing.  Just about got stuck running through a dry on top spring that we get planted maybe every other year, so there's moisture down there, just not too sure roots are getting to it, as it may be too deep.  Hills and sand/gravel pockets are torched around here, but around here they are far and few between.

Navies are turning already, could be trouble for them if we get more rain, but Im hoping for more rain, its just DRY!

MAybe im more optomistic than others, but its not over yet.
