| 1/2 in cable for semi's , if you cann't get someplace that will swedge eyes in it use 3 cable clamps per end .
Depending on the rope that is used it can be as strong or stonger then cable and it doesn't rust , have jaggers or kink . Sammson rope and other is what the tug boats use in the pacific for pulling barges . We have a 3 inch rope that we use for pulling everything around here from semi's to 4 wheel drive tractors . Like was stated as long as you don't get a cut in it your fine , but that goes with anything. | |
