Central Neb.
My question is- land loans are mostly on fixed interest but many farmers that have expanded considerably have taken all of their recent earnings and used them for down payments or equipment for the extra acres owned and rented. So if interest rates jump aren't they going to be in trouble on the operating side of things? $500 rent and 15% interest would be ugly. Just wanting opinions, I want to buy land so bad but have been lucky enough to expand by renting some tracts of land and am thinking its time to wait this one out and be patient. It sure is hard being 27 years old and full of ambition!!!
