There is a proximity sensor, like bleedred said it is on the rear left of the combine. It is supposed to let the 600 know when the spreader is raised, I have replaced it several times, just bypass switch by unplugging, you will still get message on 600, but will keep spreading. When switch goes bad, shuts
the spreader off, which tends to plug chopper & rotor, don't ask how I know.
