Reading your posts, interesting comments. To clear a few things up, RV6A if you are having problems with your tractor you should contact your dealer so he can make Versatile aware of them. The seats do have a problem of leak down due to air hose routing and being too stiff. Sears seats won't admit that though, to them they are perfect. You say you have paint peeling off...that is not common, take pics of the problem area and have your dealer send them in to Versatile. Door not sealing...there is a fix for that, ask your dealer to check his service bulletins. Speakers, ok, they are not the best.
Hydraulic valve does not adjustable detents..they are adjustable, just not easily adjustable. Detents have to be disassembled and shims added/removed so not that easy.
Rodd, for your flow control problem: the flow control curve on this valve flattens out at a higher flow setting for fine adjustment (above 20gpm). If the flow control is in full flow position in cab and you have above 20 gpm in that position there is only a maximum 5gpm change in flow, so in low flow position you would have 15gpm. Set your flow control in hi position, loosen set screw on the bell crank on the flow control at the valve and using a flat screw driver turn the flow control down to 20gpm and retighten set screw (do not overtorque) This will give you a max flow of 20gpm and a low flow setting of about 12gpm. Having a flow meter would be nice but you could do it by trial and error to get it into an acceptable range. As a start, turn it 1/4 turn cw from full flow. A different type of flow control is being looked at that will give a wider range.
As for the 9682 being better, the 375 has a better shifting, more durable trans-ask anyone who has a 80-84 series and you will find several that have replaced the 1st and 2nd countershafts with failed gears more than once. This trans has been improved in that area. Do not get me wrong, I worked on a lot of those old tractors and like them, they just had a few flaws in the trans that never really did get corrected by NH.
FYI, best economy is at 1800rpm. oh ya, the foot throttle requires a software change in the engine computer to make it into a decelerator, not available....yet.
