middle TN | I am kinda leaning with Roy on this one. By the way I read Derby's message, the bull has a wart between the toes, which from my limited experience with warts between cows toes, isn't bacterial, and not like what most folks call "heel warts". Two different afflictions. To be up-front, I have never had a heel wart in my milking herd I have seen them in other herds, and know the horror stories about them. It is my understanding that heel "warts" are actually a bacterial infection-not viral, and not technically a wart. I have had cows with inter-digital warts, and they seemed more like typical "warts" like sometimes show up around the head and eyes. These didn't seem to bother the cows. I never cured one, the only ones I have witnessed here were in older cows that were on there way to the Golden Arches.
