The pump from your 9170 should fit the m916 engine just fine. It will fit an N14 also, but the m916 never had a N14.
We just had a variable speed mechanical pump built and installed on the N14 on our 9370 Quadtrac, and we own an m915A1, so i'm pretty sure I still remember what I'm talking about.
