I know this is a little late. Might depend on the make of the trailer but I love the rubber floor in our 34 foot W & W. It's self cleaning and never have to add sand or do anything else for the slipperyness. The rubberslats look to be about the size of 2x6s but have a large raised ridges to prevent the slipping. I wouldn't even consider buying anything else now. JMHO
