Subject: Re: Deere Bauer planter

South Texas
Not sure what kind of ground you have we are flat here not much hills, and we pull a 48 row 19" (DB 76) planter with a 8430 IVT transmission.
It has no problems runs 1600 rpms 90% of the time, and we were planting as deep as the row unit will plant with no holes showing.

We did hook it up to the 8330 for a day and a half, while we had problems with the 8430. It was noticable struggling some going through washouts, but it wasnt that big of a deal never really lugged it down.

Edit: the weight is a little bit of an issue when folded up need category IV drawbar and should get the heavy duty drawbar support from deere, it is not necessary, we ran this year without it but the drawbar does flex without it.
