No the vaccine wasn't too cold, if anything it would have been to warm which would mean vaccine wouldn't be any good. This was in a herd of 800+ head of cattle, 5 owners, all Pfizer products w/good expiration dates. To top it off both calves belonged to one owner, that was the freaky thing. I and others went to see how kid was injecting vaccine. He was doing it right, in neck area and no way near jugular vein. Also this vaccine was in 50 dose bottles on auto guns, so if it was the vaccine it's self, well more calves should have gotten it.

If any of you have ever tried to hit a vein on a baby calf it's almost impossible without cutting skin open.

In talking with three different vets, they said no way did you hit a vein. I do know that one vet said he had killed some Holstein heifers once by giving Bovi Shield and a Vibrio Lepto. He said in line bred breeds, it was deadly to give those vaccines at the same time. You could give them at different times, just not the same time.
