Subject: RE: KTA 1150 cummins-Murphy Switch?

Regina/ 14 miles South of Moose Jaw Saskatchewan
Hi: Not familiar with 1150 - but what you describe sounds like a Murphy switch on the tractor. There can be a number of sensors wired in - we have a Cougar I that had a Murphy tie in for coolant level - it was a gauge on the side of the rad...

A few shots in the dark: 1. - Either on part of the button, or wired to it there should be a block with a number of wires coming into it - that will tell you how many sensors are wired in - Could be oil pressure, engine temp possibly coolant level. You might want to check the connections on the sending units - some times they're spade lug crimps, they can either be loose on the crimp, or corroded....

You could have a bad sending unit for any of the sensor points -

Hope this helps
