Subject: RE: Mike.......what would you guess this machine would do in minimizing clods???

Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577

We tried the cultipacker.........just rolled over the little fellas.

I am looking for something to use at the front end, so the clods don't ever happen.

Trying to use even small clods to roll into the row to cover weeds is.....fa.....fa.....fa....................frustrating.

What would you guess that a "traditional" 7.5 spacing would do if the angle of the disk gangs was made sharper, ie less, to the perpindicular of the travel?

The "ribbon" of soil that would flow between the disk blades would be narrowed, so the slabbing would be smaller, and hopefully more soil would contact the sides of the blades..........hopefully making the soil more "crumbly"  (is that a word??).

Would beat the hell out of using a rotovator at 4mph for 12ft.
