I really think that I would like 12 sections, I guess I don't quite follow why I would want the two end rows tied together.
If you're running RTK, you can leave the outside rows running independently. With a low-accuracy signal like WAAS, there can be enough signal error that the signal error coupled with a small amount of actual overlap on the ground can result in the system shutting off a single outside row before it's actually time to shut it off.
By pairing the outside rows, you're creating a bigger section, which means either the on-the-ground overlap or the GPS error has to be much larger before the section will turn off. So you reduce the likelihood of skips by coupling your outer rows. |
