Subject: Re: Greenstar rate controller - grounding ? - connecting boom valves

Northeast Nebraska
Got a new rate controller this morning. I re-did my wiring to ground the section valves through the 37 pin connector. I tried the old rate controller with my new wiring. Same thing, still not controlling the valves correctly.

Replaced the rate controller. Found a considerable amount of water in the weather-pak connectors. I don't know why. Deere has specific instructions on how they want the rate controller mounted. I followed the instructions. I don't know if the water caused the problem or not. I never did get any error codes. My rate controller is mounted under the CCS tanks on the planter so that it can not take a direct hit during a rain storm.

I am covering the new rate controller with something. Maybe just a heavy duty plastic garbage bag.
