I agree with Casefarmer on the idea that we all need to get in the fields.
This is the premier Ag Forum on the WWW. Fact. Several others out there that see some traffic but nothing compares to the amount of knowledge and continual posting that goes on on this forum. If you think you can do it better, go start your own forum.
The fact remains that we will disagree, we will sometimes let passion get in the way of reason, we will perceive things to be offensive that are not intended that way. The fact of the matter is, I don't always get the answers here that I want; quite often they are still correct.
People do things just to stir the pot and they are dealt with by the moderators as they see fit. Then the pot stirrers and their followers like to play dumb and wine and moan and act like they did not do anything wrong. Grow up a little. Be honest with yourself and your other posters.
Many of you, if you would attend the annual convention, would find that meeting the person behind the screen name will shed a whole new light on who and what they are and stand for. Their demeanor, their sense of humor, their laughs. Meeting posters here has greatly enhanced the usefulness of this forum. I have been fortunate to meet many of you!
I firmly believe that just because you don't like the answer you get does not make it wrong. The controversiality of a post does not take away from its truthfulness. Sometimes there is no way to sugar coat the truth. Often the things that make the most sense are the hardest to swallow.
