I think its a combination of things. Its been a long winter, and now an even longer spring. Everyone is getting a little antsy to get out in the field.
Another thing is that AgTalk is a victim of its own success. We continue to get new viewership all the time. Of course they are going to ask a question that has probably been asked a hundred times before. Seems like the veterans get tired of answering them or don't have the patience with answering them anymore.
And of course we get a lot of guys coming from other sites that let a lot of stuff get by, that isn't allowed here. Veterans jump on them for rules that are familiar with and the war of words begin.
I always felt like we are similar to what military units go through. Starts out fresh with everyone new and fresh faced. We go through a learning curve and develop good friendships and eagerly exchange ideas. Then after becoming like family and getting into a familiar routine, we start getting a little wary of the new people (aka replacements) that come and go with abandon. We don't seem to take as much time or have as much patiences with them. We forget that everything is new to them on this site, like it was for us at one time, and start getting on their cases when they retell jokes and stories or post pictures that have been on multiple times.
I really respect the guys who have been on here a long while, and still take time to answer questions over and over again. They are the true "teachers" on here and never seem to get bored sharing what they know. I always felt that that was a big part of AgTalks success.
