I second checking the existing frames for condition. Also make sure who-ever installs the inserts knows what they are doing. Our house had replacements installed when we bought the house and now all 17 need the old frame replaced. They were installed without any sort of drain at the bottom, and I'm told the way vinyl sweats around the frame has caused them all to rot.
