Lapel, In | Gee Don, sounds like you really have been listening to what I have been saying all along, Unfortunately for everyone involved, it would work against most campaigner's strategy and that includes alienating as few voters as possible. No matter what the issue and the stance of a particular candidate, some people will never agree with that stance or platform. So the safe bet is to go on the offensive and attack the opponent for his past actions and keep your own nose clean, so to speak.
Only when we , as voters, hold the candidates accountable for their aattacks and for not presenting their thought,ideas and plans of action will it change. The press could also help clean up politics as usual, if they forgot their bias and did the same. In my opinion,that is the true role of a good journalist.Just dig out the facts, mam, just the facts, not personal opinions. | |
