Mississippi Delta | When a new tractor would show up out here with a/c, the first thing my grandad would do was cut the a/c belt and tell the guys to take the glass out, we'd "put it back in when it got cold and you needed it". Of course, "getting cold" down here was probably the end of September IF the temp got down in the 50's! He always said a/c would spoil you. Can remember spending 12+ hours a day on a open cab 1370 discing set a side way back when. Betcha couldn't find anyone to do that today. | |
