The blenders credit only will exist another 9 months anyhow. That is written in stone. The only question is what will replace it. A variable rate tax credit has the attention of most players right now. Coburn has conceded his bill to kill VEETC immediately thanks to Thune weighing in hard. Grassley needs to start being honest with himself about what is politically possible in the DC climate now. He is out to lunch on this one.

At the end of the day the RFS is the only thing that really matters to corn growers. Somebody will try to open it up and then the industry is in trouble.
