We are single banding/single product 32% at 25 gallons per acre. The second line is air to down pressure bags.
Two years ago, we ran into a problem of stunted corn when planted > 2 inches deep and on same side as strip tilled band. This was on low OM soil (about 2%) and low ph (5.9 -6.3) . I think the concentrated band caused a drop in ph which severely limited k uptake.
Cant really say we have seed burn with N rates at about 90 units but I would watch underlying factors such as weather and soil conditions.
I would be interested I more info on Scotts P mix or other products such as Accomplish , Avail, Black Label etc. As more hay ground gets turned into crop land, these acres have a history of very low P and K until we can turn them around with poultry litter.
Moisture is not a problem in Mo. I would rather run strip till a few hours in front of planter than strip and let it rain on it. We can get back on ground with a strip till machine faster than planting into rained on strips.
