| To keep really up on the pH in this part of the country, I really think it takes about a ton of lime every 4-5 years to maintain the pH. I have some newer rented ground that is calling for 4 tons ECC. The landlord doesn't want that expense all at once, so we are hitting it as fast as I can. It will be about 1.25 tons material/acre on 1/3 of the ground each year. Luckily this is not sandy ground, or it probably would raise anything at that pH. | |
